Making tracks to Doncaster

17-Nov-2014 The Tapestry crosses the Border for the first time!

Doncaster is clearly proud of its links to Scotland: it not only provided plentiful stitchers and four beautiful panels, but is also hosting the whole Tapestry is its magnificent minster! Warren Draper captured some stunning images (as above), and more can be found on his website here.

The Mayor of Doncaster was on hand last week to officially welcome the Tapestry team and to open the exhibition, as you can see from this short video.

We hope the citizens of Doncaster enjoy the Tapestry's visit, however brief it may be. The exhibition closes on Friday afternoon (20th November), and by Monday we'll be going live in that other great bastion of Scottish-ness in England, Corby!
