Almost exactly one year on from our World Premier in Prestonpans, we’re getting ready for the first ever exhibition of all 305 panels of the Scottish Diaspora Tapestry… almost twice the amount of panels we had last May!

Next week we will be arriving in Veere, The Netherlands, where the exhibition will be opened in the company of the British Ambassador, Sir Geoffrey Adams, himself of Scottish descent; the Prefect of the Hortus Botanicus at Leiden University (which has been in partnership with Edinburgh’s Botanical Garden for 425 years), Dr Paul Kessler; the Conservator of Scottish Privileges in The Netherlands, Neil Wallace; Mayor of Veere, Rob van der Zwaag; and the President of Stitchting Delta Cultureel & Stichting Veere-Schotland, Harry Buiter. All with local sponsorship from the Royal Bank of Scotland there in The Netherlands.

There will be plenty going on too, with a very active programme throughout the exhibition.
Details are below for the Dutch speakers, but if you prefer English then CLICK HERE.

Our own Arran Johnston, Sharon Beck, Sylvia Burgess, Carol Oliver, Gordon Prestoungrange and Avril Wills will all be there to help set things in motion, doing their best to answer questions and tell our own tales!
