Stitcher: Marianne Johansson (Gothenburg).

Alexander Keiller and William Gibson were partners in the business at Jonsered until 1839. Keiller, then set up his own engineering works, was involved in mining and went on to found a shipbuilding company, Keillers Werkstad I Göteborg in 1841. After bankruptcy in 1867, the company became Göteborgs Mekanista Verkstads AB, with his son James as the manager. The company changed ownership in 1906 and in 1916, its name was changed to Götaverken. The last ship was built there in 1989.

Keillers Park at Ramberget, Hisingen, was donated to the city of Göteborg in 1906 by James Keiller.

An dèidh a bhith bancabriste ann an 1867, dh’atharraich ainm a’ chompanaidh gu Göteborgs Mekanista Verkstads AB, le a mhac Seumas mar mhanaidsear. Dh’atharraich sealbh air a’ chompanaidh ann an 1906 agus a-rithist ann an 1916, agus dh’atharraich an t-ainm gu Götaverken. Chaidh an t-soitheach mu dheireadh a thogail an sin ann an 1989.
