Exhibitions (Current)

This year (2024) marks TEN YEARS since the Tapestry’s world premiere exhibition, held at Prestonpans Community Centre in East Lothian. Since then, the Tapestry has grown considerably in size and covered countless thousands of miles as it has travelled the world for exhibitions. To celebrate this milestone, we are holding a series of special exhibitions.

The East Lothian Safari

29 June – 25 August 2024

10th Anniversary Celebration!

The Tapestry’s world premiere exhibition was held in Prestonpans ten years ago this June.

To celebrate this milestone, we have partnered with East Lothian Council’s museums and libraries to present a special multi-venue exhibition which embeds the tapestry into the communities of its home county.

Selections of panels, in country groupings, will be displayed at 17 venues around East Lothian.

There will be a hub exhibition at the Battle of Prestonpans Museum (Prestonpans Town Hall) explaining how the tapestry was created, which will also feature the Global Panels and the Italian Panels.
