Whilst we’re very proud of what we are doing, we’ve never dared speak of ourselves in such high terms! But, we’re pleased to say, the Scottish Diaspora Tapestry has been declared to be a “wicked cool thing” by The Claymore, a US newsletter which has helped spread the word by directing interested people to this website. You can read the relevant edition here.

The Claymore is the electronic newsletter of COSCA, the Council of Scottish Clans and Associations in the United States. The organisation was established by Dr Herbert MacNeil in 1976 and exists to, ‘preserve and promote the customs, traditions, and heritage of the Scottish people.’ Bringing together Scottish interest groups from across America, they’re in a strong position to do just that! Have a look at their website: www.cosca.net

The Unites States will naturally form an important part of our Tapestry project, and we await with interest any responses to this first appeal. As the article says, You’re a Scot – Be Creative!
